Connecting With a Lender

We recommend starting by getting pre-approved by a lender. If you don’t know what lender you’d like to use, we’re happy to connect you with a couple options whether it be via text, email, phone, or FaceTime. We want to make sure you have a good understanding of the estimated monthly payments and closing costs before closing on a home. 

Choosing a Home Location

Next, we get to know you. When you contact us to buy a house, our first priority is to match you with one of our REALTORS® who will be the best fit for you. Our realtor will learn what you are looking for, what your lifestyle in Jacksonville will look like, what’s important to you, where you’ll be working, if you have children, etc. 

If you don’t already know what area you’d like to live in, we’ll use our local expertise to suggest communities and neighborhoods that we think will check all of your boxes. We’ll send you information about the local community and neighborhood, what schools you’d be zoned for, plus we can even send videos or FaceTime you if there’s a certain area of town you’d like to see.  

 

Shopping for a Home Virtually

We’ll be your boots on the ground to go look at any houses you’re interested in. We will FaceTime you for every walkthrough so you can see the properties and let us know what you like and don’t like. Our top priority is that you feel comfortable every step of the way. Once you make a decision on a home, all of the paperwork needed is done electronically.

Home Inspection

We’ve worked with several local inspectors for years who are all willing to talk to remote buyers on the phone to explain their report and answer any questions. We will attend the inspection on your behalf and FaceTime you if you’d like to be there virtually. We can also take measurements of rooms, check paint colors, or anything else to help be your eyes and ears here in Jacksonville. 

Closing & Moving

We’ll work with a title company that does remote closings and find a notary in your area within the US that you can meet with. After closing, we’ll keep an eye on your property until you get to Jacksonville. Then, once you move, we’ll make sure we can meet with you to give you a key or leave it in a lockbox at your new home.
