3 Things You Should Do To Get Your Home Ready For Fall
Fall is here. Is your house ready? In this blog, we share three home maintenance items you should do to prepare your house for fall.
1. Clean Your Dryer Vent.
It’s recommended that you clean your dryer vent once per year. So if you haven’t gotten yours cleaned yet this year, now is the time to do it. You can have a professional dryer vent cleaner come out to remove all the dust and debris that’s built up in your dryer vent. This is important because there are, on average, 3,000 fires each year caused by dryer vents.
2. Clean Your Chimney/Fireplace.
If you have a fireplace, it’s time to get your chimney cleaned. Have a professional chimney sweeper come out and inspect and clean your chimney. We don’t use fireplaces a lot here in Florida, which is why it is extremely important to get yours cleaned before you light any fires this fall or winter.
3. Clean Your Gutters.
Cleaning your gutters is an easy DIY project or you can get a handyman to come clean them out. As the weather changes and leaves start to fall, you want to get your gutters cleaned before it becomes a problem.
All three of these items can be “out of sight, out of mind,” but addressing them now will prevent them from becoming bigger, more expensive issues down the road.
Knowing that your home is clean, organized, and well-maintained can provide a sense of peace and satisfaction. Fall cleaning allows you to start the season on the right foot, promoting a sense of renewal and readiness for the months ahead.
Overall, fall cleaning offers numerous benefits for both your physical and mental well-being, helping you create a comfortable, healthy, and inviting home environment as you transition into the autumn season.
